Elephants Prey/Food
Elephants eat different grasses, leaves, bamboo, bark, and roots. Elephants are also known to eat crops like banana and sugarcane, which are grown by farmers. Elephants don’t eat any meat, they are herbivores. (www.defenders.org)
Elephants Physical Appearance & Defence
Elephants have many interesting features including giant ears, long tusks, and a huge trunk. Elephants flap their giant ears to cool off. Their tusks can be up to 10 feet long. Sometimes they use there tusk to fight, but they also use their tusks to dig or scrape the bark off of trees. Their tusks continue to grow for their entire life. (http://www.ducksters.com)
